About Us

The LGBTQ+ Network is a friendly and knowledgeable group of students who create a supportive and inclusive atmosphere. They are passionate about working together on liberation issues and actioning positive change for our students. They love to host regular meetings and meet new people.

Who can join?

Any student identifying as part of the LGBTQ+ community or Allies can join this society and are welcome to share their experiences.

Meet the convenors

Convenors are student leaders who set up and organise a network. They encourage members to engage in the meetings and activities they collect for their community. The LGBT Network has two convenors, Scott and Ciara.
Ciara is a Social Sciences student who has experience running an LGBTQ club at their school and is keen to support the development of a supportive group here in the college. Scott is a business student who hasn't had much experience creating/organising clubs, however they are looking forward to meeting new people and creating a safe, welcoming environment for anyone in the LGBTQ community.

What to expect

When you sign up for the network, you will receive information from the convenors about the network's activities. The network meets, and events will also be published on the CitySA Events page with details about what to expect at the meetings; for example, there may be a particular activity or theme for each session. Please get in touch if you require any further information about coming to any of the meetings.
