Your college is preparing to be reassessed by the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) - to be rated on its quality framework.

EFQM is a highly respected benchmarking tool which will support your college’s efforts to continuously improve – and to maximise the benefits to you, our students, by making our institution an even better place in which to learn.

Achieving an EFQM rating

Achieving an EFQM rating is often described as being a bit like ‘playing in the Champions League’. To win, we need to show that our performance not only exceeds our peers, but also that we can maintain the advantage.

We are currently a six-star rated organisation and also hold the EFQM Excellence Award 2016 for Sustaining Outstanding Results. These achievements underline the positive approach our college takes to learning and teaching.

A number of your lecturers are involved in the ongoing application process. This will culminate in a week-long onsite assessment, from 13 to 17 June, by an international team of experienced EFQM professionals.

This will be an opportunity for you, along with your lecturers, to play a part in helping your college deliver further inspirational learning through excellence and innovation.
