The Scottish Government are leaving colleges on a cliff-edge.

In December, the Scottish Government promised the college sector an “additional £26 million.”

However, due to inflation, this is actually a real-terms pay cut. Colleges in Scotland are being left with no security about how they’ll be supported. Staff are already overworked, with both support staff and lecturers struggling to maintain the quality of the student experience.

Thank you for your support in helping us tell the Scottish Government that colleges deserve better, by signing our letter which will is addressed to Jamie Hepburn (Minister for Further and Higher Education and Skills) and Shirley-Anne Somerville (Cabinet Secretary for Education and Skills).

You can read the full letter here.
