Due to the new restrictions on group exercise, our student running club has now went virtual! Any student of any ability can take part and get involved in weekly training sessions and fun challenges.
To get involved, it’s incredibly simple. Join our Facebook and/or Strava groups, and look out for an update each Monday morning on the challenge and training session that lies ahead. These challenges and training sessions are due to start w/c 11th of January, and then run up to May or June, so why not get involved and give yourself a focus this year!
We are dedicated to provide you with an inclusive and quality experience, regardless of your background or running ability, so we hope you can get involved in as much as you can, and stay active outdoors during this challenging period!
If you are in the Glasgow area, Glasgow Green is a safe and open place to run. Beginners can work towards completing the 1.5 mile loop in the first instance, then working up towards jogging/running the 3 mile loop within 8 weeks.
Advanced runners will be starting with completing the 3 mile loop, then working towards some faster intervals and tempo based running later on in the programme. Students are still able to come and go as they please at any stage in the programme, but regular attendance is recommended
