September is Chronic Pain Awareness Month.

To recognise this, CitySA are exploring what chronic pain is, the different types of pain, and how to manage pain to enhance quality of life.

The aim is to get more people thinking about how you can turn down the volume of pain from a nine to a five; so you can live with pain each day at a manageable amount. A big part of helping chronic pain isn't about 'fixing' it, but about managing it.

Studies show us that 1 in 5 of the Scottish population suffer from chronic pain. (Scottish Health Survey 2022).

Below is a list of useful resources and organisations you can use for support or further information about chronic pain.
