Throughout the course of October, your student association, CitySA, will be proudly supporting Black History Month across all platforms.

As well as fostering an understanding of Black history in general, by doing so we hope students and staff will join us in celebrating how Black history, culture and achievements has shaped contemporary British and Scottish life right now.

Throughout this month, we will update this page with events and activities taking place within the Students' Association and the wider college. In the meantime, Lauren, a member of our Student Mental Health and Wellbeing Team, discusses why we celebrate BHM and why it is so important to understand past history and present circumstances.

VP Zahra will be hosting a BHM Coffee Morning in the SA space on Tuesday 19th October from 12pm-2pm. We will be providing free tea, coffee and a KitKat, and an open and safe space for the BAME students and allies to discuss BHM and what it means to us.
