Stress Awareness Month

Since 1992, Stress Awareness Month has been held every April to increase public awareness about the causes of stress and to promote effective self-care.

According to the Mental Health Foundation, 74% of UK adults have felt so stressed at some point over the last year that they felt overwhelmed or unable to cope. 

Many aspects of life can cause unnecessary stress, so this year CitySA is inviting you to take some time for yourself, and to help you over the course of this month, we'll be sharing different tips and coping strategies to help you properly unwind; feel better about yourself and reduce your stress levels.

Check out our wonderful Self-Care Calendar below for different tips every day this month, and remember to be kind to yourself.

How to use the calendar

Hover over and click on the days to see the suggestions we've put in for each day. There you will be able to find relevant links, tips and some pictures as well as general suggestions for de-stressing.

Please note these suggestions will be different for everyone and are just an informal guideline backed up in some cases with tips from the NHS website
