My experience with autism

I always felt like an outsider, when looking at other people with friends surrounding them and then there was me quiet, head in a book, never able to get on with friends for very long. Female autism goes hand in hand with OCD. During covid my OCD took over and I started going through the process of being diagnosed. l was on a waiting list for 7 years and was diagnosed at 18. I'm still the same person I was before I was diagnosed but it's the knowledge that I'm not abnormal. I just prefer being on my own and I don't need others to validate myself. I'm happy in my own quiet, autistic world.
