Candidate for the position of Vice President Learning & Teaching

Areeb Arien

Education is Essential. Maximise your learning at City of Glasgow College.

Dear fellow students,

My name is Areeb, I am currently undertaking an HNC in Administration & IT.

If any fellow students have not been able to attend lessons for any reasons and ask for my help, I enthusiastically help them and ensure they catch up with their lessons.

This role will enable me to have a considerable impact by helping the student association and lecturers maximise the teaching provided to students at our college, advance and utilise the perfect teaching methods, and ensure student feedback is listened to and utilised in order to enhance the teaching and learning at our college. It is important lecturers and students strive to maximise teaching and learning by working together, especially in times such as this where a pandemic is occurring, and students are attending college from home.

The college should be a place where every student learning is maximised. Students have varying learning styles, therefore we must ensure teaching styles can be original, flexible and engrossing. This will enable students to reach their utmost potential.

Thank you for viewing and reading my manifesto. I hope to receive your vote for this role.
