Hi! My name is Lori Templeton, I’m 19 and am currently studying HNC Media and Communications and I’m planning to go straight into my 2nd Year of HND this year. I would love to take on the role as Vice President of Social and Activities as I’m a very confident, positive, outgoing person and I love to get involved in different clubs and meet new people. I think extracurricular activities are a huge part of the college experience and allow students to make friends outside of their class and take part in a society that they really enjoy, not just to look good on your CV!
Making friends hasn’t been the easiest this year with almost all our learning being online which is why I would love to be your VP for this coming academic year to make your college experience exactly what you want it to be! I plan on acting as a spokesperson for your ideas and opinions when it comes to activities within the college.
One of my main goals is to ensure there is a club for everyone should they wish to join one. There are currently only 10 societies that run at the college and personally I don’t think they are successful when it comes to having variety. I’d like there to be a society that piques every student’s interest as I think clubs outside of class can be a great escape and help you put some of the work stress aside for a while.
