Your Digital Connection. Your Study-Buddy. Your Voice
Hello, I am Alice, a mature student studying Professional Cookery at CoGC and I believe I am qualified to be your Vice President in Learning and Teaching.
My past life as a languages communicator in Scotland has helped me overcome social awkwardness and has made me experienced in digital learning. I think the college needs to prioritise and involve students with an open dialogue to eradicate digital poverty and challenges in seeking employment after leaving college.
I believe with my skills I can bridge the gap in the future of mycity to explore more options and replacement to improve online learning and teaching.
If I am elected, I seek to have a more enhance digital library, set-up study-buddy learning community, and I even have a name in mind for it: ‘Social Caterpillar-PAL’, and set-up continuing professional development (CPD)scheme.
I believe by digitise-course-related-resources as short-term library loans, can let everyone, both students and lecturers’ access from anywhere.
Recently my study buddies gave me the confidence to learn from each other, form friendship and feel part of a community in our learning subjects. They help me in building social skills and making progress academically.
I hope to be involved in creating more opportunities for students to gain work experience within their subject, so we can get a wider professional experience for the future.
You are the core of CoGC, as your VLE, I will do my best to have your voice heard.
