Class Rep: Collaborate,Logical, Accurate,Support,Student Learning experience, Representation, Endeavour, Partnership & Social.  In order to achieve, you have to believe to perceive your ambitions in life!

Hello everyone! My name is Beth, and I am currently studying HNC Travel and Tourism with languages. I have been a student at COGC for the last 3 years and have an exciting outlook regarding the future. My time at COGC has been extremely successful as I have been a proactive member of the students association in terms of learning and teaching and volunteering. I was a class rep during my 1st year at college then arised to a class rep associate trainer which I have actively devoted my time to over the past 2 years.

My passion for education and student representation did not subside as I became an associate trainer with Sparqs who support the work of student engagement within education establishments in Scotland. I am also the volunteering officer and have enjoyed exploring the attributes of education from a parliamentary perception over the last 2 years. My aspirations in life are to succeed in my specified course and devote my time to become a college lecturer to support the work of learning and teaching.

If I was to be elected as VP of learning and teaching my aim is to:

  • work coherently with SA staff to develop a strategic class rep action plan for the year to improve the running of training and meetings.
  • I believe that it is important to build relationships with both students and staff to effectively collaborate and improve the students learning experience model.
