Back at it again. #VOTE4SUBIDO
After a wild and wonderful year working as Vice President for Diversity & Wellbeing, I am excited to announce my candidacy for the position of Student President. I have decided to pursue this position full-time as I am driven to continue and grow my previous campaign work and be able to build on the projects, I have started this year.
As Student President my focus will be:
- Firstly, I will continue to prioritize and advocate for marginalised student groups. Making sure that all students have access to equal learning especially, BIPOC, LGBTQAI+, disabled, and care-experienced students. This means not only promoting diversity but actively working to combat discrimination and prejudice through my campaign work.
- Keep supporting our students through the mental health challenges they face. By continuing to listen to your lived experience as students. I want to continue my work with Student Services to make sure there as limited challenges to our student’s accessing this support and provide additional wellbeing programmes and expanding our resource hub.
- To work in partnership with the wider college ensure that student voices are heard in decision-making processes, by maintaining open communication channels with the college, and actively taking feedback and suggestions from students. Making sure that YOU have a voice in your education.
As Vice President for Diversity and Wellbeing, I have already demonstrated a strong commitment to supporting students and given the opportunity to work full time I will be able to make a greater impact on student experience.
