I’m Jessica, a trans woman and student journalist, and I hope to represent those studying within the creative industries to ensure that your voice is heard.

The Faculty of Creative Industries should continue to have a great reputation, and a big part of that is the student voice.

As one of your representatives, I will:

• Ensure that any issues brought up are tackled and that any suggestions are taken on-board. You should have a say in your education. I will make sure that you do.
   
• Make sure you are kept up-to-date with important information, and that any concerns you have about external circumstances are heard. As a student myself, I understand the difficulties we face like the cost of living and disruptions caused by strikes. I know first-hand how concerned some students are, but who do they go to with their concerns, and how do they get answers? I will make sure that any issues you have are communicated to the appropriate people and that you have no worries regarding your education.
   
• Promote innovation. We should never be stuck in the past. We should always look to the future. We should continue to be innovative to make sure that your education is top quality.

My number one priority is to make your learning experience the best it can be, and by the end of the academic year, I want the student voice to be louder than ever.
