Nathan Graham - experienced trade unionist and activist
I’ve decided to run for the student parliament representing the creative industries faculty as I believe it’s really important the student voice is represented at a senior level with college management. I’m an active and experienced trade unionist, I do a lot of activism with my union, Unite, but also with the STUC and the TUC. As a mature student, I also have a fair bit of life experience that I think would help me in this role. I’m keen to get involved and make sure we get the best experience we can from the college, while the strikes and industrial action is ongoing. It’s also very important that the senior management are aware of how the strikes are affecting students and ensuring our future and our education is kept a priority. I’m happy to speak with anyone who is unsure about what's happening or struggling with the disruption to the classes, and do what I can to help.
This is a really important time for us as students but also for the faculty staff, and I believe I am the best candidate for this role. Thank you for reading and thank you for your vote!
