Hello! My name is Ella Miller and I am running to be YOUR education officer. I am currently a HNC Radio Student as well as a class rep. I was also the class rep for my previous course. I have an array of experience within youth politics. I’m a member of both Glasgow and Inverclyde Youth Councils and I am also a Speak Out Champion for Girlguiding Scotland in which I have achieved loads! From challenging First Minister Nicola Sturgeon on TV to meeting with her in both her office in Holyrood and Official residence to discuss issues affecting young people and what can be done to make a change for the better.

I'm passionate about making a difference and a change for the better – which is why I think I would be perfect to take on the role of Education Officer. I'm not afraid to speak up  I recognise key areas of improvement in our class rep and student campaign systems and I can identify many more ways we can increase student voice to make sure all concerns are heard and responded to in an adequate manner. I will push for the stronger implementation and reform of these systems, so students actually feel involved in decision making and are listened to.

Especially during COVID19 you need a candidate you can depend on and trust. Which is why I hope you will vote for me. Let’s make our student democracy the best it’s ever been. Ella for Excellence.
