Candidate for the position of Student Voice Officer

Loreta Andrejeva

Wellness for greatness!

Hi, my name is Loreta and I am standing for the position of Wellbeing Officer.

It's no secret that our wellbeing is one of the most important things for us especially in this stage of our lives. I believe it should be our biggest priority if we are to expect ourselves to be able to deal with the challenges of education, it's a massive loss when a person loses out on their vision of the future because of issues that could have been helped.

I am standing for this role because these issues aren't foreign to me, I understand what it means to lose out on what you could have been because of these issues. I feel very strongly about being able to change that for others.

First of all, I would work with the college, to see what problems rise up in the relationship between students and their education and if there's anything that they've been able to identify that seems to be a cause for concern.

Secondly, I would work with Faculty and Class reps to find out what individual issues people might be facing and why they might be facing those issues through use of polls and questionnaires.

Finally, I would pinpoint the biggest causes of the issues and work on ideas to present to the college for review and implementation.

Every student has the potential to excel and do well without being hindered by these setbacks. We must do our best to ensure we can help.
