About Us

Love getting lost in a good book? Or need a reason to finally read that novel sitting on your shelf?

The Reading Club is the perfect space to share your favourite stories, discover new authors, and chat with other booklovers.

Any student is welcome – whether you’re a casual reader, a total bookworm, or just looking for something new to try!

What to Expect

We’re starting the year with taster sessions so you can come along, meet the group, and tell us what you’d like from the Reading Club.

Want to read the same book together and discuss it? Prefer a relaxed space to share recommendations? Or maybe themed sessions (fantasy, classics, poetry)? It’s up to you – you decide what this network becomes!

Our college librarian, Claire, will also be around to support the club and share some great reads.

Got ideas or feedback? Drop a message to Rebecca Ivers (VP of Social & Activities) at rebecca.ivers@cityofglasgowcollege.ac.uk

Become a Network Lead

Right now, the sessions will be run by Rebecca and the Students’ Association team. But… we’re on the lookout for a Student Network Lead to take charge once things get rolling!

It’s a brilliant chance to:

  • Build confidence & leadership skills
  • Make new friends
  • Earn a Volunteering Certificate by the end of the year

Drop Rebecca an email to register your interest.
