2024/25 Presidential Team Announcement

The Students’ Association have had an exciting past few weeks as we ran our Big Student Elections for our Presidential Team for 2024/25. 

This year, 15 candidates put themselves forward, and 1,808 students voted with 6,521 votes cast in total. This is an amazing turnout, and 5% above the sector average. Our physical polling stations on campus were again popular with students, with 46% of votes being cast through the polling stations. 

A massive congratulations to all our candidates who ran amazing campaigns and engaged with many students throughout the week. 

We are excited to announce that our Presidential Team for 2024/25 is: 

Student President – Ciara McCarthy 

Vice President of Learning and Teaching – Valeria Ramos 

Vice President of Diversity and Wellbeing – Stacey Hawes 

Vice President of Socials and Activities – Polly Vaker 

The new team will be starting in July, and we can’t wait to see what they will achieve next academic year.
