2026/27 Presidential Team Announcement

The Students’ Association have had an exciting few weeks as we ran our Big Student Elections for our Presidential Team for 2026/27.   

This year, 19 candidates put themselves forward, and 1,778 students voted with 4,861 votes cast in total. Our physical polling stations on campus were popular with students, with nearly 30% of votes being cast through the polling stations.   

A massive congratulations to all our candidates who ran amazing campaigns and engaged with many students throughout the week – you have all done so well!  

We are excited to announce that our Presidential Team for 2026/27 is:

• Student President – Rebecca Ivers 
• Vice President of Learning and Teaching – Euan Buchanan 
• Vice President of Diversity and Wellbeing – Mairi McWilliams 
• Vice President of Socials and Activities – Kaylee Houston 

The new team will be starting in July, and we can’t wait to see what they will achieve next academic year.
