About Us

Women's Basketball

Our women's basketball team compete in British Universities and Colleges (BUCS) Division 3.  Our women's team won the Scottish Student Sport (SSS) College Cup last year (2022 - 2023) for the second year in a row.

Current 2nd year coaching and development student -Aaron Chapman- is the head coach for this team.  Aaron has experience as assistant coach of the men's basketball team last year, helping to lead the team to gold at the Scottish Student Sport (SSS) College Cup, as well as finish 2nd in BUCS 4A.  Aaron won the 'Student Sport Volunteer of the Year' Award in 2022 - 2023 for his tremendous contributions to the men's team.

As the trial date has now passed, if you are keen to get involved in any current training sessions, you should email the Sports Co-ordinator Andrew.Kirk@cityofglasgowcollege.ac.uk with your previous experiences playing basketball.  Your request will then be considered with the head coach Ross, and Andrew will then aim to respond to you within 5 working days.

You will be able to find out about our fixture dates by joining the 'BUCS Play' app, creating an account and joining 'BUCS Basketball 23 - 24' then 'City of Glasgow College Women's 1s'.

CitySA are advertising this opportunity on behalf of COGC Sports and the SA is not affiliated or registered with BUCS
