About Us

The Student Accessibility Network (SAN) is a place for students to engage with each other on a range of issues which may affect them.

It is a safe, welcoming, and inclusive place to make friends, be part of a supportive environment, and raise awareness about challenges that students with disabilities or additional support needs may experience. We also aim to run events and activities that are inclusive and accessible. If you would like to discuss what that means for you, please get in touch.

Who can join?

Any current student who identifies as having an additional support need can join. You do not have to declare information about this to any other student or staff member before joining the society unless you wish to raise a particular need or accessibility issue when joining the society.

Who organises the society?

The Student Accessibility Network is a collaboration between the Students' Association and Learning Support. The meetings will be organised and facilitated by Jane, a Learning Support and Development Advisor, and Hannah, a Student Engagement Officer. Students will be supported and empowered to develop their own ideas for meetings and activities.

What happens at SAN?

Each week, we organise different activities to take part in. You can find out what’s happening at each meeting here.

Campaigns and initiatives:

The Student Accessibility Network is a space where students can develop campaigns to raise awareness and drive change. Staff facilitators will be on hand to guide and support students throughout the process. You can find out more information about previous CitySA campaigns here
