Hello, I'm Flora and I'm your Student President for Academic Year 25/26

I have an interest in mental health, education, animal welfare and equal opportunities for all.

As Student President, by the end of the academic year there a number of things I hope to achieve. These are:

Introduce a wider selection of food options for those with dietary requirements – The food at college is delicious but the options for those who are vegan/vegetarian or celiac etc. are rather limited. I want to change this so that every student can have an appetising and filling meal.

Establish a stronger relationship between lecturers and students – Your lecturer is there to help you become one of the best in your field so there should be a strong sense of trust there. I will work with the Vice President of Learning and Teaching (Samantha Campbell) to ensure that students are able to communicate with their lecturers.

Improve the mental wellbeing of students – College can be a rather stressful time but looking after your mental health is very important. I want to work with the Vice President of Socials and Activities (Rebecca Ivers) and the Vice President of Diversity and Wellbeing (Mairi McWilliams) to make the mental health services at the college more visible to students and to organise events to help boost serotonin.

I look forward to meeting you all!
