Organisation:

East Dunbartonshire Active Schools

About The Role

Active Schools is a key element of sportscotland and the Scottish Government’s drive to get Scotland more active. Active Schools aims to provide more and higher-quality opportunities for children to participate in school sport and increase the capacity through the recruitment of volunteers who deliver the activity sessions. We cover all primary, ASN and secondary schools in East Dunbartonshire.

We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join our team! We provide extra-curricular sports activities for children at breakfast, lunch, after-school clubs and school sport competitions. Our aim is to get pupils in East Dunbartonshire schools more active, more often. Your role as an Active Schools Volunteer would be to deliver or assist in the delivery of fun sports sessions within our primary, secondary and ASN schools. We provide a variety of sports, both indoor and outdoor, to enable as many opportunities for school pupils as possible. Ideally, we are looking for volunteers with previous coaching experience or a sporting background. If you have no experience at all, our team will help to guide you through the process, and there will be plenty of training opportunities throughout the year to gain qualifications, skills, and knowledge. All volunteers with East Dunbartonshire Active Schools will be fully PVG checked. Please get in touch for more information.
