Student Volunteer Week- CitySA Updates

Why Volunteer?

Volunteering is a great way to develop your skills and experiences, build your confidence, and meet new people. Through volunteering you can also make a real difference to the college and the wider Glasgow community.

We at CitySA are passionate about encouraging and supporting students to get involved with volunteering opportunities that they are passionate about. This Volunteering HUB is a dedicated space to learn about volunteering, explore opportunities from within the College and from local charities and community groups, and connect with other student volunteers.  Explore the tabs on the left to see what the HUB has to offer!

Student Volunteer Forum

Keep up to date with the latest volunteering news then join our SA Volunteers Teams. We will be posting useful information, training opportunities and wellbeing resources here, and will be able to answer any questions our volunteers might have.

Using your Volunteer Profile

To learn about how to use our Volunteering HUB to record your volunteering hours and skills please watch the tutorial below.

CitySA Volunteer Awards

By logging voluntary hours (see tutorial above) students will automatically be enrolled in our Students' Association Volunteer Awards. This is a great way to provide extra recognition of your efforts as a volunteer. It's also a great way to evidence your volunteering experience for job and internship applications.

You don't have to be a volunteer here at the college to use this service, if you volunteer in any role and are interested in our awards then you are welcome!

  • Log 10 hours to achieve your Gold Award
  • Log 25 hours to achieve your Silver Award
  • Log 50 hours to achieve your Gold Award

Our team are here to support you at every stage of your volunteer journey so if you have any questions or need any help then please get in touch.
