Student Mental Health Agreement

In 2019, we launched our initial Student Mental Health Agreement (SMHA). The SMHA was developed in the 2018/19 academic year alongside NUS Think Positive and College partners. We created this agreement to display a college-wide commitment to the mental health of our students, and we’ve achieved many great successes as a result.

In the 2021/22 academic year, we recognised that we had achieved the main priorities of our initial agreement and that the mental health priorities of students had changed as a result of the pandemic. To ensure that we were still focussed on influencing real impactful change for students’ mental health, we undertook the task of updating our SMHA.

This updated SMHA also reflects our dedication to reaching all student groups to ensure that we’re focussing on developing solutions to the deeper issues impacting the mental health of all of our students, and not just a select group.
