A Better Tomorrow Competition

In November, Glasgow will be hosting COP26, which is one of the biggest and most important meetings that takes place between representatives of all the countries that are members of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).

At the meeting, heads of state, climate experts, and campaigners will get together to discuss the potential measures that countries can take to address the climate crisis. It is hoped that by the end of COP26, all countries will have agreed to a set of goals and actions they can implement to help tackle the climate emergency.

We know how important this conference is for our City and that's why we want City of Glasgow College students to play a key role by creating solutions, which help to fight climate change by taking part in A Better Tomorrow Competition.

We recently launched a competition where we asked students to submit their ideas and concepts on how to make the transition towards a greener and cleaner world.

There were two categories - Individual Award and Group Award, with three key themes; Awareness, Community Partnership and Innovation and Originality. We have been delighted with the amount of submissions for this competition. We are currently moving to the judging stages, so the competition is now closed.

You can still find out about each theme by clicking the icons below.

Each student can submit up to two entries: one individual and one group entry and each entry must be an original piece of work. The piece of work does not need to relate to your course. It can be something that you feel passionate about and want to share with others.

The competition will open in August which gives participants time to prepare their submissions.

Deadline: All entry forms with submissions should reach us no later than Monday 18th October 2021. An alternative printable copy is available.

All submissions will be exhibited in the Students’ Association space, Level 2 at City from the 27th October 2021 - until 15th November 2021.
