The photography network is a hobby group aimed at all levels – all students are welcome provided they have a passion for photography. Meet like-minded students, develop skills, and share knowledge and experience together.
Bringing a camera of your own is very welcome, but it's not necessary to bring anything. I'll be bringing my own DSLR camera's that people can use if they don't have a camera of their own and want to learn the advantages purpose built camera's have over phone cameras.
It's not a class, so there's no hard requirements beyond wanting to be involved. Even if you don't want to take photos, we won't kick you out. Not everyone involved in photography is a photographer. There are often models, hair and makeup artists, lighting technicians, photo editors and then some more involved in photography.
Any student interested in Photography can join this network regardless of their previous experience, everyone is welcome to learn and share.
Convenors are student leaders who volunteer their time to organise network meetings and events. In this academic year our convenor is an HND Photography student
When you sign up for the network you will receive information from CitySA about the activities of the network. Network meetings and events will also be published on the CitySA Events page with details about what to expect at the meetings, for example there may be a particular activity or theme for each meeting. If you require any further information about coming along to any of the meetings, then please get in touch.
