The Student President Role

Work closely with college partners and fellow students to help the Students’ Association grow and function well. Your main goal will be to support student voices, lead the Student Parliament in important areas, and represent students locally and nationally.

Salary £30,007
Time Commitment Full Time (35 hrs/week)
What You'll Do
  • Lead and Inspire: Offer guidance to Vice Presidents, Student Parliament members, Class Representatives, and the wider student community.
  • Champion Student Voices: Represent students at important meetings and work with the National Union of Students to influence policies and campaigns.
  • Empower Representation: Ensure effective systems are in place for student representation and external audits.
  • Gather Feedback: Ensure all student opinions are heard and used to enhance the college experience.
  • Promote Engagement: Support the organisation of activities, events, clubs, and societies to enrich student life.
  • Effective Communication: Keep students updated and involved through engaging promotional activities.
What You’ll Focus On
  • Full Member of the College Board of Management and relevant sub-committees.
  • Attend working groups and other collaborative spaces to provide student feedback.
  • Support the Students’ Association team in achieving their annual plan of work.
  • Contribute to reports on the Students’ Association’s progress and achievements.
