City of Glasgow College is looking for up to five Student Consultants to join a pivotal, Robertson-Trust-funded project.

This research will explore the profound impact of trauma and poverty on students' access to and success within further and higher education across Scotland.

As a Student Consultant, your lived experience and insights will be the core of this project, driving real change.

  • Post: Student Consultant
  • Salary: **£12.83 per hour** (Grade 2, Point 9 – employed by Edinburgh Napier University)
  • Contract: December 2025 – December 2026
  • Commitment: Approximately 50 hours per year

๐ŸŽฏ Your Contribution

You will work closely with a Project Researcher and student teams across Edinburgh Napier University and Queen Margaret University.

Your role will involve:

  • Contributing to vital research activities.
  • Sharing your lived experience and unique perspectives.
  • Helping shape the project's final recommendations.
  • Supporting the development of student-focused outputs.
This is a unique chance to develop your skills in research, communication, and high-level partnership working, while directly influencing policy across Scotland’s colleges and universities.

  • Primary Location: City and Riverside Campuses
  • Travel: Possibility of travel to partner institutions (QMU and Edinburgh Napier University)
