Step Count Challenge

The Step Count Challenge is a fun and exciting way to keep yourself fit and healthy while you study/work at the College. Participating in the challenge will also help you to develop relationships with your classmates or work colleagues.

Walking, wheeling, cycling, running – they all count!

The challenge will begin on Monday 30th of May, and conclude on Sunday 12th of June. There are lots of reasons to get involved.

Sign up information

To get involved, all you have to do is follow these simple instructions:

  • Ask four other people to join your team and nominate one person to be the team captain.
  • In your team, discuss a suitable team name and have a think about any additional activities you would like to have alongside the challenge.
  • Sign up via our microsoft form
  • Look out for an email on Friday 27th of May, which will have more information on signing up via our platform Paths for All
  • From Monday 30th of May – Sunday 12th of June, ensure that you upload your steps via the Paths for All website

Counting your steps

There are a variety of different fitness apps/trackers that you can download on your mobile phone, if they don’t already have one. This is important so that your actual steps match up with what you upload onto the Paths for All website.

It should be noted that the platform allows conversions such as inputting miles covered, or even yoga workouts, which then transfers into steps!

Steps can be manually uploaded. You can also sync any relevant fitness apps with the platform so that step uploads are done automatically.

You can watch the video on the Paths for All webpage to understand how it all works

Prizes

This year, we will have prizes available to the winning staff and student teams. The winning student team members will each receive a £50 voucher from Amazon or Love to Shop. The winning staff team members will each receive a rucksack.

Let’s get stepping everyone!!!
