A vote for me is one of confidence that every student can feel empowered.

You may have seen me around campus with Guide Dog Winnie. Winnie is one of the many reasons I am able to feel confident and able enough to study Radio Production. Another reason is how diverse, accepting and accessible City of Glasgow College has been.

I acknowledge however, that things aren't always great.

I know what it's like to be bullied because you're "different", or to be isolated and discriminated against.

If I am able to take on the position of Vice President: Diversity & Wellbeing, I aim to learn more about all of our differences, to promote equality, improve accessibility around the college and raise maximum awareness of disability. I want to improve the student experience for those with disabilities, and bring attention to issues impacting minorites.

I've spent the last 7 years volunteering with disability and LGBTQ+ charities. In this time I have supported and campaigned for; Equal Marriage, Trans Rights, Disability Access Rights, The Pavement Parking Ban and Transport Accessibility Legislation here in Scotland. Currently, I am working to improve Glasgow City Council's "Avenues" project so it can be accessible to all.

I am a strong advocate for equality and a vote for me is a vote of confidence that I will do all I can to ensure every student feels empowered.
