I am Mary-Jane McNicol and I am in my final year studying HND Building Surveying I would love to be you Student President next year.

My role will be focusing on how the SA can improve your student experience.

I will work to promote the SA and get more students involved in SA events. I will work with new and existing societies to increase involvement as well as promoting local community events that the students can get involved in.

I will create a voluntary leadership programme for returning students to give them the opportunity to become a mentor to new students and recognise and celebrate success within this programme.

The free soup during the January Winter Warmer was a huge success and I will continue this next year as well as bringing back the Hug a Dug sessions during the more stressful times of year.
