The Refugee Community is a safe, welcoming, and inclusive place to make friends, be part of a supportive environment, and raise awareness of challenges that refugee students may experience.

Who can join?

The Community is optional, and open to anyone who identifies as refugee or stays in Scotland under the humanitarian protection. You do not have to declare information about this to any other student or staff member before joining the society.

Meet the convenor!

Convenors are student leaders who set up and organise a society. They are there to encourage members to engage with the meetings and activities that they organise for their society.

This society is looking for a new convenor. Check the volunteering hub to apply for this position.

What to expect

When you sign up for the Society you will receive information from CitySA about the activities of the society. Society meets and events will also be published on the CitySA Events page with details about what to expect at the meetings, for example there may be a particular activity or theme for each meeting. If you require any further information about coming along to any of the meetings, then please get in touch.
