The Festive Fund is now closed. We are now scoring applications and we will inform applicants of the results w/c 13th November

What is the Festive Fund?

CitySA are delighted to launch the Festive Fund, funded by the Nairn Family Trust. This is a fantastic opportunity to apply for £100 - £200 of funding to run an event or project that engages student volunteers and benefits the community. Students are invited to apply as individuals or as groups.

What kind of projects will be funded?

Any project that benefits the community and engages student volunteers will be considered – we encourage you to be as creative as you like!

Projects will be scored on how well they match the following criteria:

  1. Benefits the local community, engages with a non-profit organisation, or raises money for a cause

  1. Actively engages at least 5 student volunteers

  1. Promotes inclusive volunteering and creates a positive experience for volunteers

The date of your event or project is flexible: you can run them anytime from your initial meeting until the end of Semester 1 (20th January).

What support is available?

If your proposal is accepted, you will receive:

  • Support in the initial stages to develop and stick to a work plan

  • A check-in at the halfway point to make sure you’re on track for delivery and troubleshoot any issues

  • Ahead of delivery, a final opportunity to discuss the project and make any finishing tweaks
